The Weight field is for recording the actual weight of the item.
Support for sending this value to Shopify (via Idealpos Online) will be added in the near future.
When support for this functionality is available and the "Web Store" checkbox is enabled, the weight will be sent to Shopify.
The unit of measurement for the weight item is configured via the "General" tab of the Stock Item:
Once the Scale checkbox has been enabled and the weight unit of measurement entered, go to the "Advanced" tab and enter the item's weight into the Weight field.
