Kiosk

An Idealpos POS terminal can be configured as a Kiosk so that customers can place their orders at the terminal in a similar way that is offered in many fast-food restaurants.

The Kiosk function is enabled via the Licence and the built-in Demo Database that is delivered with Idealpos can be used to demonstrate this feature.

Before demonstrating and using the Kiosk function in Idealpos, please take note of the following points:

• Kiosk is enabled in the licence, therefore needs to be purchased to use this function on a permanent basis
• Kiosk module cannot be licensed together with Back Office or POS Screen on the same terminal (this restriction does not apply when demonstrating this function on a system with a Demo Licence)
• Kiosk is designed to run in portrait orientation at a resolution of 1080x1920.
• To demonstrate the Kiosk function using the built-in Demonstration Database, a Full System Reset must be performed on a non-production terminal. This will result in all Idealpos settings being erased, so therefore should only be done on a demonstration terminal.
• The screen orientation in Windows will need to be changed to portrait
