The POSServer is an important piece of software that is installed on all terminals by default on version 6.02 and above.
It runs as a service and will only become activated when changes have been made to the Idealpos database.
The POSServer is responsible for the handling of all Tables, Bar Tabs, Handhelds, Centralised Order Numbers and Floating Clerks.
If you are using the Restaurant Module, it will also handle Reservations and some aspects of Pending Sales.
It is also responsible for database communications between Idealpos and the Apple iPhone/iPad/iPod Stocktake app.
Once installed, the POSServer can be accessed through the Windows Start Menu located in the Idealpos folder.
